Best Vegan Options At Expo West (2025)

Last week, I attended the largest natural product and food expo in the world, Expo West in Anaheim!

Expo West isn’t just about sampling the latest and greatest products though. There were many educational panels from leading experts around the globe and even some celebrity speakers like Dax Shepard, Maria Shriver, and Chrissy Teigen, who are all involved with companies in the natural product space.

The expo also features a Climate Day keynote, where I learned that on average, we waste $780 worth of food per person annually – this includes food in the home and outside of the home (purchased at restaurants or elsewhere).

We’re also seeing some changes in consumer behavior, with more people turning to plant-based options. 

As a vegan coach, I want to make sure you know the best options out there so you can enjoy nourishing food and help curb food waste.

I tried many great plant-based options at expo, but here are my top picks:

Best Milk – Pecana – Praline Pecan Milk

Best Ice Cream – Green Girl Bakeshop (they have a new ice cream sandwich!)

Best Yogurt – Cocojune

Best Chips – Good Eat’n Nacho Cheeze Tortilla Chips

Best Chocolate – Wild West (Bear Claws)

Best Cracker – Back to Nature Original Rounds

Best Pretzel - Stellar Pretzel Thins

Best Popcorn – Live Love Pop

Best Coffee Drink – Táche Pistachio Milk Latte

Best Instant Coffee – Blue Bottle

Best Creamer – Califia Farms Pistachio Creamer (the birthday creamer is also great!)

Best Dessert – Nelly’s Organics

Best Protein – Eat Meati – it looks like they may be having issues with investors so please buy this while you can - hopefully they will remain open. As a back-up I will say Chunk Foods.

Best Protein Bar – The Only Bar

Best Protein Powder – Truvani

Best Cheese – Dare

Best Mac and Cheese Sauce – Le Grand Truffle Cheese Sauce

Best Fruit Snack – The Froot Thief

 Best Sour Cream – Elmhurst – I tried this last year but I believe this was still the only vegan sour cream at expo west.

Best Spread – Oat Haus Cookie Dough Granola Butter

Best Dip – Fabalish

Best Non-alcoholic Spirits - Abstinence

Best Eggs – Crack’d – also really liked this lentil-based egg from Beamy
